What happened

Milwaukee arrived in Game 4 leading the series 3–0 after a 10–1 win in Game 3, needing one more win for a four-game sweep and the first championship in the franchise's history. Tampa Bay, facing elimination, struck first in the 2nd inning, and the game then swung back and forth to 2–2 by the 5th — where it stayed through six scoreless innings, including the 10th and 11th.

The 12th inning decided it twice over. Pratt, who had already doubled in a run in the 4th, homered to left-centre to put Milwaukee in front; Tampa Bay answered immediately in the bottom half, loading the bases with no outs before Williamson's single to right field ended the game and the sweep.
