What happened

England came into the match under pressure after a difficult year and a week of reporting about unrest in the camp, and produced their most emphatic performance of the season — dominant up front, then ruthless out wide once Pollock arrived. Australia, beaten for the third straight match, had a lifeline in Jorgensen's interception try before half-time but were overwhelmed after it.
