What happened

City began the day level on points with Chelsea and behind on goal difference; by full-time the slip at Stamford Bridge and the rout at the Joie Stadium had swapped the top two around with a two-point gap. Full-time banter: Lucy Bronze set up a goal at one end and scored at the other — unfortunately for Chelsea, the second one was in her own net.
